Zero Turn mowers have exceptional manoeuvrability, high speed cutting decks and increased ground speed of up to 10mph, using independent hydraulic motors on the drive wheels which allow the machine to turn around on itself, giving maximum agility which saves on mowing time. Encore machines are driven by two levers which control forward and reverse speed and the direction. Due to the zero turning radius of the Encore range cutting times are drastically reduced for greater productivity. About Encore
The Encore range of commercial mowers is one of America's finest and have gained an excellent reputation over the past 19 years for their reliability, innovation in design and long working life!
The founder
of the Encore Manufacturing Company, Inc., W. H. “Dick” Tegtmeier has been
directly involved with designing and developing high quality commercial lawn
cutting equipment for three companies for the past 30 years. In 1982, with the
commercial market continuing to expand rapidly, Dick took advantage of an
opportunity to become a co-founder of eXmark manufacturing and with his
contributions this company went on to become an industry leader in commercial
mowing equipment.
Six years later in 1988, Dick started up Encore Manufacturing Company Inc
located in Beatrice Nebraska, the same city that was home to the two other
companies he had worked with. While those other companies do still have
operations in Beatrice, Encore is now the only privately held lawn mower
manufacturer in the city.
Since 1988 the company has expanded and developed a reputation for building
quality products packed with the latest in productivity innovations and comfort
features. Too, Encore products are considered to be great value for the money.
In 2004
Dick passed on the presidency of Encore to his son Douglas Tegtmeier who had
been working for the company since 1988. Dick remains with Encore as Chairman
overseeing engineering, contract manufacturing and export sales.
The company under Doug’s management follows a combination of sound practical
business principles and field driven direction. He works very closely with his
team and solicits feedback from the field on the existing product line as well
as products under consideration for the future. This has led to a considerable
line expansion and the recent introduction of the 48” 52” and 60” Encore Extreme
line of riders dubbed the “tough trio” and ready for the 2007 mowing season.
